This week Towill Team members Sam and Emily joined Paynters and school staff to walk through the new Junior Learning Centre at Milton State School. Now that the scaffolding is down and the internal sheeting is up, the building is starting to take shape! Stay tuned to watch this project progress into the final stages of construction.

The Towill Team are excited to share our new building at Grace Lutheran College Caboolture Campus. The building accommodated four different modes of use, which were determined through consultation with staff, students and school community. We can’t wait for this to start construction soon!

Towill Team members Emily and Sam were recently on site at Milton State School to observe the Junior Learning Centre taking shape, with the concrete structure being exposed for the first time. We cannot wait to see the building’s full form emerge after the extensive formwork comes down!

Towill Team member, Sam visited Ipswich Grammar School during golden hour this week to photograph the recently completed STEM building. Stay tuned for professional photos of this exciting project!

Continuing our commitment to engaging with stakeholders throughout all stages of the design process, the Towill Team were at St Paul’s School last week to hold another round of workshopping sessions with Students and Staff. This time, participants were challenged to build an ‘ideas board’ which explored the resources and spaces they require to support teaching, learning and community engagement into the future. These sessions assist the design team and school community to ensure that the design of the new building is an authentic expression of the unique pedagogy framework at St Paul’s School.

One of our residential projects currently pending DA approval, this modern extension to a heritage place features an expansive open plan living, dining and kitchen area addressing a north facing courtyard. The extension tapers away from the heritage dwelling ensuring minimal impact and presents a juxtaposition between the renovated dwelling and proposed extension.

Flexibility is key in our Walker Centre at St Paul’s School – the space can provide for sporting activities, workshops, school community gatherings and performances large and small!

A few renders of our new General Learning Centre at Mansfield State School currently scheduled to start construction this year. The new building incorporates playful colours into the classrooms and facilitates a strong connection with the existing vegetation surrounding the building.

The Towill Team were on site with Vaughan from Autex last week to inspect the acoustic panels in the new STEM Facility. It’s been exciting to see the progress seeing the acoustic ceilings and observing these internal spaces come together!

Update on our new STEM Facility at Ipswich Grammar School; the presentation space is finally taking its form with internals nearing completion. Towill team Rachel, Sam and Connor were on site this week and captured this shot.

Last week, Towill Team Rachel, Laura and Roma facilitated a staff master plan workshop to develop the State School Master Plan. The acquired feedback from the workshop will help our team develop a master plan which has their pedagogy at its heart.

Photos taken on site during testing of LED lighting on the perforated screens to be installed externally in the new STEM Building at Ipswich Grammar School. The LED colours are programmable and will provide opportunities for students to interact with  the lighting design as part of their experience within the new building.

We recently had the opportunity to workshop with students to develop a brief for a new building at St Paul’s School. The students were able to clearly identify the learning spaces which inspired them, resulting in a building brief which has the needs of students at its core. At Towill, we learn from our clients every day and they continue to inspires us!

The Towill Team have been busy with activities such as herb planting and furniture assembling to add some Towill flare around the office. Stay tuned for more updates!
